Doug Smith, PhD, is a science non-fiction writer, with a career spent producing obscure texts immortalized nowhere important. But he is now writing what he loves to read: Science fiction and fantasy. Currently toiling away in his Asheville cottage or favorite Amsterdam café to write the Fisher of Time series. When not writing, he practices fowl cookery over a wood fire, or functions as a can opener for a cat that is not his.
He believes that vampires, werewolves, and zombies, among other things, could exist, and with a scientific explanation. Time travel and aliens are also a real possibility given certain conditions. He believes people carry both bad and good in them, and most days the good wins. And he believes that almost anything is possible that the human mind can imagine. Convincing people of their infinite destinies is the real challenge.
What does all of that mean? Recently, after moving back to the US from Europe, all of this finally came bubbling out. Since it won’t stop there will be a few volumes of science fiction and fantasy, plus some side projects (the world needs to know more about chickens). Better late than never.
If you like what you read please let me know. If you don’t like it, let me know, I always have room in my books for more characters. Welcome to the ride, hope you enjoy it.
